Best Katanas in Project Slayers (& How To Get Them)

Choose your weapon!

Katanas are the staple weapon in Project Slayers and my favorite weapon. With plenty of choices, each player must find a Katana that suits his play style, stats-wise and visually. Since the Update 1.5 launch, making this list has been even more difficult for me, with so many great choices. Do note that this list may not be final due to balance updates. Without further ado, here is the top list of best Katana swords in Project Slayers.

Introduced in Update 1.5, Devourer Katana is a part of the incredibly nice-looking Devourer set. You can obtain it by visiting the Devourer's Jaw and finding the blacksmith there. There are some serious prerequisites for getting the Devourer Katana, so make sure you grab the following:

2. Polar Katana

Polar Katana is a part of the new Polar set introduced back to back with the Devourer Katana in Update 1.5. It is the trickiest Katana to find, requiring you to dive into the Frozen Lake. To obtain it, you will need the following prerequisites:

  • Cloud Katana
  • Waterfall Katana
  • Tornadic Katana
  • 75,000/150,000 Wen
  • 10 Ore

1. Shinobu's Katana

Notorious for being the rarest dropping Katanas in the entire Project Slayers, Shinobu's Katana is widely considered by all to be the best Katana you can get. Its stat bonuses are the following:

  • 1.75x Item Health
    +5 Sword

Wielded by Shinobu Kocho, this Katana, also known as the Insect Sword, derives its name from its pointy tip, reminiscent of an insect's stinger. You can only obtain it by opening the chest, but be prepared; the chance of Shinobu's Katana dropping is only 0.5%. Alternatively, you can attempt to farm the boss in Butterfly Village, which has a 1% chance of dropping it.
