Demon’s Souls PS5: How to Trade with Sparkly the Crow

Caw! Caw! Caw!
This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

The crow has been a reoccurring NPC in the Souls games, and of course, for those who haven't played Demon's Souls, don't worry; he's still there! This NPC doesn't hold your hand when it comes to exchanging items, as you have to work out what the crow's broken English interpretations mean in order to get a trade to happen!

Demon's Souls PS5 How to Trade with Sparkly the Crow

To trade with the crow in Demon's Souls PS5, you must drop items on the ground near the tree; however, you have to listen closely to what the crow says. As depending on its reply is whether it likes the item you have dropped or not.

The crow is located in the Shrine of Storms; at the highest point in the level, a tree with a large nest protrudes out of it. Look out for a tower which heads towards a lone skeleton archer, and where you found the compound longbow, as there is an exit that leads towards the cliff where the tree resides.

The crow is a fickle NPC in Demon's Souls, as it's practically guesswork what items the crow wants in exchange for another item. As we said, you have to listen to what the crow is saying, if the crow says Sparkly, happy, happy! Caw, when you have dropped an item, then the crow is happy, and when you reload the area, an item from the crow will be waiting in its place.

If the crow says No sparkly! Caw. That not twinkly! Then the crow has no desire in the item you have dropped, and you might as well instantly pick the item back up.

You can only exchange an item once with the crow NPC, and only one item at a time. If you drop two items, then upon reloading, only one of the items will be exchanged, and the other will be lost, with no way to reclaim it. Once all items have been traded with the crow, you will know because the crow will no longer speak to you on approach.
