How to Fix Remnant 2 Explorer Armor Bug

A really, really annoying bug...

The Explorer Archetype armor set is just one of many treasures available to you once you complete Remnant 2. The first time I tried to get my hands on it, though, I encountered a troubling bug: Whisper, the silent vendor who is supposed to sell the armor to you, didn't have it in stock. This is a known glitch, but fortunately, there are a few fixes that may help. Here are some ways to fix the Explorer armor bug in Remnant 2.

How to resolve Remnant 2 Explorer Armor missing

The Explorer Armor set is highly sought after because it is required to obtain the Archon Archetype. Of course, it's a total bummer to be locked out of the archetype due to something like a bug. I tried the following solutions and managed to fix the bug in my game.

  • Go into Offline mode - Go to the main menu and set your game to Offline mode so that no one can join you. Then, load back into your game and check to see if Whisper is selling the Explorer armor.
  • Continue Playing the Game - Despite Whisper not selling the armor when he should, I personally found just continuing to hunt for loot and progress my build to be the actual solution to this problem. Every time I returned to Ward 13, I checked to see if new items were being sold. Eventually, the Explorer armor and various other missing items appeared for me at random.

  • Create an Explorer Character - The Explorer archetype begins the game with the armor you're seeking. Sometimes just creating one and then loading up your original character is enough to get the armor to appear in Whisper's inventory.
  • Restart the Campaign - Specifically, try to redo the entire campaign through a speed run of sorts. Ignore side areas and fights you can easily avoid. While this isn't the most graceful solution, there have been reports of this working out.
  • Wait for a Patch - This is the least valuable solution on the list, but it is one that will likely resolve the problem, just at a later date.

If you've gotten this far, then unfortunately, waiting for a patch is likely your only option to get access to the Explorer armor set. While I know this is disappointing to read, the issue causing Whisper to omit the set from his inventory is not yet known. Without understanding the exact cause, it's hard to pinpoint a specific solution. Still, I hope that at least one of these options has worked for you.
