Isobel is the savior of Last Light Inn in Baldur's Gate 3 and there comes a point where you choose if you want to save her or not. If you decide to save her, you need to be ready for an incoming combat scenario that cannot be won easily. Here's how to save Isobel in Baldur's Gate 3.
How to Reach the Last Light Inn in Baldur's Gate 3
To reach the Last Light Inn, you have two options: the way through the Underdark or via the Mountain Pass. If you choose to take the Mountain Pass, you will come across Kar'niss, who looks like a half man and half spider.
Kar'niss has a Moonlantern in his possession and will take you directly to Moonrise Tower. However, you will be ambushed by another group called the Harpers on the path. At this point, you can choose to side with them by betraying the drider. After the fight, they will directly take you to the Last Light Inn to meet Jaheira. So, I recommend siding with the Harpers if you want to save Isobel.
Another way to reach the Shadow Cursed Lands is to take the elevator from the Underdark Grymforge. Going this way, you will come across the Harpers directly, and eventually end up in the Last Light Inn. The choice is yours, but the goal is to reach Light Inn because this is where you will meet Isobel.
The Last Light Inn is in the Act 2 map. Upon reaching it, you will meet Jaheira. After having a conversation with her, she will tell you to find Isobel.
Where is Isobel in Last Light Inn?
You will find Isobel on the upper floor of the Last Light Inn (X:-66 Y:160). A Selunite Cleric who uses her power to shield the creatures from the Shadow Curse, you will get a chance to converse with her and learn more about her background.
Should you Save Isobel in Baldur's Gate 3?
The Last Light Inn is one of the safe passages through the Shadow Cursed Lands, with several NPCs relevant to different quests.
Without Isobel, there will be no barrier and the Shadow Curse will come for one and all in the Last Light Inn. If you choose to side with the evil, Isobel will be kidnapped and the barrier will be dropped, which will be the end of all creatures in the Last Light Inn. So, you should probably choose to save her from the Flaming Fist Marcus who will try to kidnap her and take her to Moonrise Tower.
How to Beat Flaming Fist Marcus in Baldur's Gate 3
To beat the Flaming Fist Marcus, I suggest using the Polymorph spell as this depletes his health significantly, allowing you to eliminate him quickly. However, he won't be alone and will have his allies fighting for Isobel. While you and your party are focused on defeating Fist Marcus, I recommend keeping an eye out for Isobel.
Isobel will lose a lot of health during this fight; if her HP falls to zero, it's game over for the Last Light Inn. Therefore, make sure to protect Isobel with healing and other protective spells. If you have Shadowheart in your party, use Sanctuary, Beacon of Hope, Spirit Guardians, Mass Healing Word, and Lesser Restoration to cure off conditions.
Offensively, use spells such as Eldritch Blast, Moonbeam, Magic Missile, and Cloud of Daggers while dealing with Marcus (who comes with tons of health, so it won't be easy tanking him). Marcus appears with his allies, so the Spirit Guardians spell will allow you to heal Isobel while dealing damage to other enemies. Make sure to keep specific members of your party such as a Cleric, Wizard, or Barbarian at the right spots from which to attack Marcus.
