The release date for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is right around the corner and will include the full suite of Campaign, Multiplayer, and Zombies modes. Just like the previous CoD game, this year's Campaign will be available in early access, so let's find out when.
When does the Modern Warfare 3 Campaign release?
The Modern Warfare 3 Campaign comes out on November 2, one week ahead of the full game launch. This will allow players to experience the new storyline before they get engaged in the Multiplayer and Zombies grind. In my opinion, it's a win-win for players who've made up their minds to buy the game.

You can pre-order the game now to participate in the ongoing MW3 Open Beta and test out the Multiplayer yourself. Otherwise, you can wait for Campaign reviews to drop after November 2, and then purchase the game if you are interested in playing it.
Is the MW3 Campaign a sequel to MW2?
Yes, Modern Warfare 3 Campaign is a direct sequel and continuation of the story from Modern Warfare 2. This is different from the usual CoD cycle in which there has always been at least a one-year gap between two games of the same setting, such as Modern Warfare and Black Ops. In the MW3 story, we'll get to see a tussle between Task Force 141 and Konni Group led by Makarov.
