Who will die in MW3 2023?

The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Campaign isn't going to be the last game in the series, however, some key characters will be killed by the time you reach the end of the story.

CoD is infamous for killing off characters and then bringing them back to life, for instance, Victor Zakhaev, but MW3 makes sure that some personas are put to rest for good. If you're looking for spoilers, you've come to the right place.

Which characters die in Modern Warfare 3?

Below I've listed the protagonists and antagonists you'll see getting killed in the MW3 Campaign.

John "Soap" MacTavish

I'd say the death of Soap is the most heartbreaking moment in the rebooted Modern Warfare saga, just like it was back in MW3 2009. While Soap and Price are busy defusing a bomb during the final mission Trojan Horse, Makarov ambushes them and tries to kill the Captain. In an attempt to save Price, Soap stabs Makarov in the shoulder but the is soon shot in the head.

General Shepherd

In the post-credit scene of the MW3 Campaign, General Shepherd is shown entering his office, but Captain Price is already waiting for him there, hiding in the shadows. He puts a bullet through Shepherd's head as an act of revenge for the General's betrayal in the MW2 story. Besides these two main characters, there are some others who also die in MW3.

Dena

After the first mission, a cinematic shows Farah Karim meeting her friend Dena whom she had given command of the Urzikstan port. Soon in a Konni's attack, Dena is killed while driving inside the port.

Ivan

Alpha Team leader Ivan fails to follow the plan during the first mission Operation 627, and Vladimir Makarov doesn't seem to be too happy about it. Ivan is then shot by Andrei Nolan on Makarov's command in front of the Konni forces.

Samara Jalal

In the Passenger mission midway through the MW3 Campaign, a Russian airliner is headed to Sochi. Makarov plans to bomb this plane and pass the blame on the Urzikstan Liberation Force (ULF). For this, he chooses Samara Jalal, a former ULF member who had previously fought alongside Farah.
