Players who are avid fans of battle royale or shooter games like CoD will be familiar with customizing your loadout. Those who have been feeling a little left out will be happy to know that Fortnite has added a feature called Mod Benches where you can build loadouts to test out in every match.

Using these benches, you can customize any weapon, and make it stand out in terms of power and performance. Different types of mods can be attached to the weapons to reduce the recoil rate, increase magazine size, and control other factors that can potentially influence the course of a fight.

Much like the Reality Augments, Mod Benches is now the next best thing to have happened to the popular battle royale title. Players will take their weapons to these Mod Benches to try out different attachments in exchange for Gold Bars. These Mod Benches can be found inside the vaults which are located at the following POIs:

  • Reckless Railways
  • Grand Glacier
  • Lavish Lair
  • Fencing Fields
  • Snooty Steppes

Check your map to find the Medallion icon which is where you will find the Bosses. In Chapter 5 Season 1, there are a total of five Bosses: Oscar, Nisha, Montague, Valeria, and Peter Griffin. You have to eliminate the Boss first and get the Society Medallion which is the key to getting into the vault and using the Mod Benches.

Make sure to remain equipped and carry consumables as getting Medallions will put your location on the opponents' map. Enemies will likely be hiding out and looking for the perfect opportunity to hunt you down.

Once you have the Medallion, you will be directed towards the vault through arrows on the screen. Now, all you need to do is scan the Medallion or keycard in the portal beside the vault to enter it. After entering the vault, you will see the Weapon Mod Bench. Remember that not every mod can be equipped with each weapon.

To apply a specific mod to the weapon, you need to do the following:

  • Interact with the bench using the appropriate keybind.
  • You will see a list of weapon modifications.
  • Select the specific modification:
    • Optic
    • Barrel
    • Magazine
    • Underbarrel
  • Spend the required Gold Bars to mod the weapons.
