The Syphon of Anguish is a rare and unique ring in Last Epoch that grants a tone of additional damage and effects to your attack. If you're struggling to get your hands on one, I'll show you how you can get the Syphon of Anguish in Last Epoch.
Where to obtain the Syphon of Anguish in Last Epoch
You can obtain the Syphon of Anguish by defeating Shade of Orbyss. It's one of Orbyss' unique item drops at any point once you access the Monolith of Fate section of Last Epoch. During your Monolith encounters, you'll come across a node called Echo of A World, where you'll find Shade of Orobyss in one of five different forms.
- Blood Form
- Storm Form
- Vile Form
- Infernal Form
- Frost Form
Defeating Shade of Orbyss is a bit difficult if you're still experimenting with your build, and you'll need to bring your A-game to take it down. Once you do, you'll get the Syphon of Anguish and a possible increase or decrease in corruption, which, in turn, creates empowered monoliths.
Best builds to use Syphon of Anguish in Last Epoch
The Syphon of Anguish can provide a lot of +% stats, and here are the fixed rolls you get for obtaining one:
Stats | Effect |
Elemental Resistance | + 5 to 18% |
Melee Damage Leeched as Health | 1 to 3% |
Void Damage Leeched as health | 1 to 3% |
Increased Leech Rate | 10 to 30% |
Increased Movement Speed | 3 to 8% |
Chance to apply Doom on Hit | +10 to 30% |
Void Penetration with Doom | 10% to 30% |
Based on these affixes, these are the primary best class builds that come to mind:
- Void Knight (any build)
- Shadow Cascade Bladedancer Build
- Shadow Daggers Bladedancer Build
- Shadow Daggers Marksman Build
- Shatter Strike Spellblade Build
These builds have one thing in common: they use melee attacks and rely on procs to decimate their enemies. I can attest to these builds as I have a Shadow Daggers Bladedancer character, and I'm striving to get the Syphon of Anguish to boost my gear for the entirety of the Monolith adventure.
