Cowboy spiders in Kill It With Fire 2

Join the cross-dimensional war against spiders this spring with Kill It With Fire 2 Early Access

Kill it with fire, but don't burn the building down!

The original Kill It With Fire had you waging a war in one house against the arachnids, which kept getting bigger and more explosive. However, Kill It with Fire 2 is stepping it up in every aspect. It's one giant step for mankind as the war moves to space and across dimensions in early access coming on April 16, 2024 to PC.

Instead of destroying one single house, Kill It with Fire 2 early access will start with four episodes happening across time and space. Each episode is a unique dimension overrun by spiders, which you have to kill. Not only will they be different design-wise, but there will also be new mechanics, different challenges, weapons and systems, and, of course, different types of spiders for each level.

You'll be able to reach these dimensions through the Vindicator, your spaceship. No other name could have been as fitting.

How Objectives Work in Kill It With Fire 2

The episodes and story can be played linearly, but the game is designed in a way that you need to hop between dimensions to kill, collect, and complete all objectives. The objectives are the major focus of the gameplay for this one.

There are other good reasons to revisit these levels, like the Morph spiders, which you need to kill across all levels to get an achievement. Once they are killed, they stay dead, and every level has a number of them that you need to take out.

The other reason is potion making. You'll find a cauldron on one map, the Artois Manor, which you can use to make potions. The recipes are hidden on the other levels, so you'll need to find them and go back to Artois Manor to brew them.

Weapon upgrades are also tied to your revisiting levels as they require proficiency. This means that before you can upgrade a weapon, you have to complete certain objectives. These can include killing a specific number of one type of spider, which can be regularly found maybe on one specific map.

You'll get plenty to do across levels, but the story itself is also featured more here than in the original, with Miles Luna as the Lead Writer. If you've enjoyed the likes of Red vs. Blue, RWBY, and Camp Camp, as I have, you can definitely expect a lot from the story in Kill It With Fire 2.

How Multiplayer and Co-op will work in Kill It With Fire 2

One aspect that many have been looking forward to is the multiplayer. You'll be able to play with your friends in two different modes. You can play Campaign co-op, where you'll be going through the story together, or you can play Spider Hunt, a mode where you choose if you want to play as either the Exterminator or the Spider in an epic battle on three maps made just for the Hunt.

The maps in all episodes are bigger than in the original, so you don't have to worry since there are fewer levels than in the first Kill It With Fire. There are also three big updates planned, each with a new level, after which the game will have its full release. The original house from the first game might also be added later on, which I would be very happy about.

That's everything in store for you this spring with Kill It With Fire 2, but you can definitely expect more fun content from us before the game's full release. Check out the full trailer for the game below!
