How to solve Windmill issues in Manor Lords

If one of your town's Windmills abruptly stops spinning (working), there are a few methods to figuring out the problem and fixing it. First of all, make sure that you have a family assigned to the Windmill as well as the Farmhouse. If you have one without the other, then the Wheat that's harvested and threshed into Grain won't get properly transported.

In addition, make sure that you have roads paved between your farm, the fields, and the Windmill. This encourages your working families to stay on track, literally, when processing crops. Also, remember that the families need time in the Farmhouse to transform the harvested Wheat into Grain before it can be moved.

Another potential solution is to consider where your Windmill is built. Most importantly, you want it close to your Farmhouse and its crop fields. However, if you construct a Windmill in the vicinity of a treeline, or too close to other buildings, it likely will stop working due to that type of obstruction. Always prioritize building your farm(s) in a wide-open area, free of any other structures that might get in the way.

Lastly, a simple solution is to be mindful of the time of year you're sowing, harvesting, and milling. Starting a new crop rotation is best done in the Spring, as overall production will slow up dramatically in the Winter. If you try to do it in the Fall, you probably won't see any results until the following year.

That concludes our guide for how to fix a Windmill not working in Manor Lords. We hope you found this helpful, and let us know if there are other structures you've had trouble with in the game.
