Fallout tracer pack bundle in Modern Warfare 3

CoD Fallout bundle labeled “lazy” by fans

Call of Duty has been doing the rounds recently, signing deals and crossover events to keep the content train chugging; from Godzilla to Mobile Suit Gundam, there's no limit to the themed cosmetics Activision has and will continue to bring to the game. Fallout is one of the latest events, but despite the recent upward trend in the post-apocalyptic franchise, players aren't happy about the upcoming skins.

Reddit user ZookeepergameProud30 jumped onto the Modern Warfare 3 subreddit to air their annoyances with the upcoming Fallout cosmetic set. Their specific words label the bundle as "lazy" and it's not hard to understand why.

User Riot_Shielder entered the conversation, saying, "They don't want our money? These look hilariously bad and low-effort. An NCR Veteran Ranger skin would sell 10x more than this crap." Their words ring true as the four "outfits" given to the main cast of Ghost, Price, Soap, and Gaz are simple Vault Suits.

Another voice (from user llamanatee) specifically called out the lack of content in the bundle, saying, "No veteran ranger armor, service rifle M16 or Power Armor Juggernaut? Of course not, because how would people know it’s Fallout if it isn’t blue and yellow?" It's pretty difficult to disagree with the general sentiment of fans here, either. While the Vault Suits are iconic in their own regard, there's so much more that could have been done here. A Vault Boy mask to go with the suits? The aforementioned Power Armor Juggernaut? As a Fallout fan myself, this is a little underwhelming.

A sad reality here is that the Fallout universe is teeming with exciting and interesting characters and factions. I find myself wondering why we aren't receiving a Super Mutant skin or a set of Raider Armor for our heroes. I'd even take a Radscorpion cosplay rather than the basic blue and yellow jumpsuits. Unfortunately, we have what we have and it probably goes down as one of the more disappointing Call of Duty crossovers we've seen.

That's all we have on the Fallout bundle debacle. If you're looking for more Call of Duty content then check out Casual CoD fan frustrations point to a bigger problem for the series, Warzone is sweatier than ever, and dads are annoyed, and more on Pro Game Guides.
