How to Play Coop in Binding of Isaac Repentance

To play coop in The Binding of Isaac Repentance is incredibly simple, but it also is not something you would do instantly in a new game. There is no main menu feature that says Coop or anything of the kind, nor is it automatic upon plugging in a second controller.

Coop is only accessible in the first starting room of your run, and all you need to do is Press Start on the controller that you will be using, and coop mode will activate. Do not leave this room until your friend/s have joined.

The host has a choice whether to play using a keyboard, and a controller but the other players have to use controllers. This is the only way to play coop in The Binding of Isaac Repentance. It might not be the ideal gaming experience players hoped for, but True Coop is in the game.

Even if you want to play on Steams Remote Play/Share Play with a friend over the net, nothing changes. Every person other than the host is still required to use a controller. This may change in the future, but at this moment in time, it's the only way!
