All hiding spots in Phasmophobia’s Point Hope map

Yes, the shower stall counts!

One of the most important things to figure out first on a new map in Phasmophobia is where all of your reliable hiding spots are, as this not only helps with objectives but also protects you from the game's more ruthless ghosts during hunts. If you're exploring Point Hope and want to know where to go, here's our handy guide to all hiding spots in Phasmophobia's Point Hope map.

All Point Hope hiding spot locations in Phasmophobia

Below are all of the 11 known hiding spot locations found throughout the entire map of Point Hope's lighthouse.

Remember that to remain completely hidden from a ghost in these spots while it's actively hunting (see our guide on ghost movement speeds), you must do the following:

  • Mute your headset's microphone, otherwise, the ghost will hear your voice.
  • Turn off night vision goggles and manually discard any electronic equipment far enough away from your hiding place, so that you don't attract the ghost.
  • The door to your hiding spot must be completely shut, as it protects you from a ghost's "line of sight." Test it by opening and closing it if need be.
  • Keep at least one Incense (or "smudgie" as they're known in the player community) on hand with an Igniter, in case a ghost wanders too close and has a high chance of finding you. If it's a T2 or T3 Incense, it will stop them in their tracks or, better yet, drive them away.

Also, depending on your chosen hunt difficulty or challenge mode, some hiding spots may be locked while others are open, and those choices will be randomized. If you're playing with multiple people, this number can fluctuate.

In the case of Point Hope, you will have the following number of hiding spots available (per difficulty):

  • Amateur - All hiding spots open
  • Intermediate - 3 spots locked; rest are open
  • Professional - 4 spots locked; rest are open
  • Nightmare/Insanity - All hiding spots locked

Hiding Spot #1 - Ground Floor Closet (Behind Front Door)

This first hiding spot in Point Hope is very easy to overlook because it's hidden directly behind the front door where you first enter. If you have the door swung wide open, you probably won't notice this hiding spot until your exit gets slammed shut during a hunt. If you want to be as close as possible to your escape route, this is your go-to choice (if it's not locked).

Hiding Spot #2 - Ground Floor Closet (Hallway)

The second hiding spot on Point Hope's ground floor is close to the first one. In fact, it's right around the corner in the hallway connecting the Foyer with the Living Room area. Keep this cozy closet in mind when you need a place to run from a feisty ghost.

Hiding Spot #3 - Ground Floor (Lighthouse Tent)

The next hiding spot is in the Living Room area of the ground floor, just past the previously mentioned hallway. It may not be the most practical or comforting when you have a ghost growling its way toward you, but this cute Lighthouse Tent does function as a legitimate place to hide, as long as you zip the door up all the way.

Hiding Spot #4 - Ground Floor (Shower Stall)

The next possible hiding spot on the ground floor of Point Hope is probably not one you'd expect, given that it's rather...see through. This shower stall in the entrance bathroom right by the exit does, in fact, work for hiding during hunts. We just wouldn't suggest singing or dancing in it while that's happening, rather, keep yourself wedged tightly in the back corner like we do.

Hiding Spot #5 - Ground Floor (Behind Opened Crate Beneath Stairs)

The final hiding spot on the ground floor of Point Hope is one that probably wouldn't be your first choice, but it does work. This clothing crate propped open directly beneath the stairs is somewhere you can duck in case your ghostly culprit is haunting the front Foyer or Bathroom area nearby, or if you're on a higher difficulty and some of the closets aren't an option.

Hiding Spot #6 - Second Floor Kitchen (Behind Plank Board Near Washing Machine)

Your next hiding spot in Point Hope will be in the second-floor Kitchen area, specifically behind a conveniently propped-up plank of wood beside the washer and dryer. If you find yourself at an impasse of where to go when your ghost suspect is lurking on the floor above or beneath, this can be an option for you.

Hiding Spot #7 - Third Floor Dining Room (Boxes Underneath Stairs)

Up another flight of stairs, Point Hope's next potential hiding spot is found in the Dining Room area. Once again, this one is directly beneath the next staircase, behind some discarded crates. Make sure you crouch and press yourself completely against the nook to stay out of view.

Hiding Spot #8 - Sixth Floor Master Bedroom (Behind Divider)

If you get caught up in a hunt on the upper floors of Point Hope, one hiding spot option is inside the Master Bedroom on the sixth floor. You'll know it by the bed with the flannel pattern bedsheets and red wallpaper. There's a wooden dressing divider located on the right side of the room with plenty of space to hide, should you need to.

Hiding Spot #9 - Seventh Floor Child's Bedroom (Closet Behind Bed)

Another convenient spot to hide further up is in the Child's Bedroom, which should be easy enough to decipher by the smaller boat-themed bed and toys scattered on the floor. The room is painted bright blue as well. The hiding spot in question is a coat closet directly behind the bed, which you can close completely. This is definitely one of the better choices on Point Hope's upper floors to keep you safe from paranormal beings.

Hiding Spot #10 - Eighth Floor Maintenance Room (Green Lockers)

One of the last hiding spots in Point Hope is up on the eighth floor of the lighthouse, otherwise known as the Maintenance Room. Here you'll see some familiar-looking metal lockers, though this time they're colored green. You can choose either of these to duck in cover, just make sure you completely shut the door behind you, and don't leave red paint tracks if you catch our drift.

Hiding Spot #11 - Top Floor Lantern Room (Behind Wooden Crates Near Stairs)

The final possible hiding spot in Point Hope's map is on the very last floor of the lighthouse, also known as the Lantern Room. This small nook behind a wooden pallet can help conceal you in a pinch in case of a ghost lurking around the upper floors.
