Where to find and how to beat the Stronghold Oil Rig in Palworld

If you plan on conquering the seas (and getting the achievement of that name in the game), you need to know the Stronghold Oil Rig location in Palworld, as well as how to easily beat it. Fear not, Palworld adventurer, as I'm here to talk you through the process.

How to take over the Stronghold Oil Rig in Palworld

One of the best ways to get a bunch of Crude Oil quickly outside of a Crude Oil farm is to take over the Stronghold Oil Rig in Palworld. First, you have to locate it. The Stronghold can be found at -547, 422. Head over to the Marsh Island fast point at 430, -344.

Now, before you set off, you have to prepare. The Oil Rig will be filled with Syndicate soldiers who will be able to wipe you out with just a few bullets. You need to make sure you have the best armor and the best weapons.

The best armor you should have is the Plasteel armor. However, if you haven't managed to get it yet, you can make do with the Pal Metal Ingot armor, just be sure to bring in healing items. The Hyper shield is also something that you should focus on crafting before you go.

For weapons, bring in a Rocket Launcher, a Meteor Launcher, and an Assault Rifle. If you have a Laser Rifle, feel free to bring that in as well (sadly, I haven't unlocked it yet). For this one, I would focus on killing everyone on your own rather than using Pals since they are big targets. I found them distracting, so I just ran through the rig by myself. If you have friends who play, I suggest attacking the Rig in a group, though.

You absolutely should not be flying to the Oil Rig since it is equipped with lasers that will shoot you down. If you have a Jetragon, you might be able to dodge them, but I found going by Surfent or any other Pal that can swim makes the trip easier (though slower).

I suggest starting from the right of the rig. The enemies will all run down the stairs to wait at the dock to shoot you, so don't go there. Instead, switch the Surfent for the Jetragon and quickly fly up behind the tents. Make sure you get off the Jetragon just as quickly because you aren't hidden from the lasers here.

Once you climb up, focus on dealing with the enemies first. The Grenadiers, for example, can take you out quickly unless you shoot at them with Rockets first. If you are a long distance away, there is a chance that the enemies won't notice you, but you can shoot them from a distance with the Assault Rifle.

As you go along, you'll run into the Lasers (which will shoot you down when you are flying) and Turrets (which will take aim at you when you're on the Rig). You can destroy them both by using the touch screen, but focus on destroying the Turrets first.

If you are wearing Plasteel armor and a Hyper Shield, then the Turret bullets should be a slight annoyance. However, in combination with enemies, they can take you out, so take them offline first.

There should be a few chests at the Stronghold as well as enemies that drop Crude Oil, but there is one main chest that you need to get through to complete the raid and get the best loot. This chest is located on the lower floor of the Rig.

There will be plenty of enemies outside and inside the room, so take care of them first. Make sure there is no one around since opening the chest will take you some time. You don't want to get killed while you are opening it.

When you open the chest, you will get a bunch of good loot, including Crude Oil and Ancient Civilization Cores. The first time you complete this raid, you will also get the Conqueror of the Sea achievement.
