Best XP farms in The First Descendant

Leveling up your character, weapons, and rank is crucial in The First Descendant as you progress through the story. Doing so will help you take down the higher-difficulty bosses and enemies later on and effortlessly complete missions. Below I've pointed out the best XP farming methods you can use to level up fast in the game.

Best ways to farm XP in The First Descendant

The First Descendant community has recently discovered that doing the Special Operation mission called Albion Resource Defense gives players significantly more XP than any other quest. Available after you've unlocked all the areas of the Kingston region by completing the Slumber Valley Mission, you can find this mission in the Grand Square at the spot marked on the map above.

You can fast-travel there by clicking on the green checkpoint right next to it on the map. In the Grand Square, go to the mission beacon and interact with it to view the operation details. Start the mission for Kingston Albion Resource Defense and wait for the matchmaking to create a team for you. After spawning into the combat area with your squadmates, your objective is to fight the waves of enemies and defend the resources from getting destroyed by them (see above image).

The hostiles appear at fixed locations every time and you'll easily identify these spawn points in no time. As you progress through the waves, stronger and more deadly enemies will start spawning. You can easily defeat them with the help of your teammates, weapons, and character's abilities. I used Bunny as her Lightning Emission skill takes out enemies in your vicinity while you just run in circles around them.

I highly suggest you only play until the seventh or tenth wave at max. This way you will not have to fight strong bosses and can earn some easy XP; you can then restart the same mission to keep earning easy experience points. After the seventh wave, you'll get an interim review screen (above image) where you can choose to abort the mission.

This XP farm method works wonders when paired with a Descendant EXP Gain item (shown in the image above). I received some of these tokens for free in my Mailbox and used one before doing the Kingston Albion Resource Defense mission. You can find the Mailbox in Albion at the location marked on the map in the second picture.

While the mission I've explained previously is hands down the best and fastest way to XP farm in The First Descendant right now, you can also try out the Destroy Void Fragment missions when you encounter one. These don't last that long but give you a better amount of XP than the other quests. Go to the target and take out a certain number of enemies to make the void vulnerable (second image above). Then, damage it using your character's skill/ability and repeat the process until the entity is fully destroyed to complete the mission.
