Haikyuu Legends Gameplax Tips - Controls & Mechanics

Below is the list of all controls you can use while in a match in Haikyuu Legends. Note that actions that have (Mid Air) in their name require you to jump and use them while you're still in the air. More detailed descriptions of how to execute different moves (serve, spike, etc.) are further down.

Serve

The serve in Haikyuu Legends has two stages. During the first stage, whits you initiate by pressing the bump hotkey (LMB/RT/R2), you'll decide the power of the shot. You need to press bump again to stop the power gauge indicator. Generally, you always want to land as far right on the power gauge as possible for maximum power.

After you finish the first part, the ball will fly up in the air, and you'll need to spike it to finish the serve. You can do that by jumping (Space/A/⨉) and then spiking the ball (LMB/RT/R2). Make sure to aim with your cursor just above the point at which you want the ball to land. Alternatively, you can wait for the ball to drop and bump it from the ground, though that'll send an easy ball to your opponents.

Spike

The spike works just as we've described in the second part of the Serve above. What you want to do is jump (Space/A/⨉) while close to the ball and then spike (LMB/RT/R2) the ball while aiming at an open spot on the court. The ball will generally land just short of where you aimed your cursor.

Block

The block is one of the two hardest moves to master in Haikyuu Legends. To execute it, press jump (Space/A/⨉) and then block (Q/LT/L2). If you manage to block the ball, it will fly towards the point where you aimed your cursor. The best way to time blocks is to jump just after your opponent jumps to spike the ball.

Bump

By executing a regular bump (LMB/RT/R2), you'll send the ball at a slow pace over the net and toward the opponent's side of the court. Bumped balls can be caught by your teammates and spiked/set. Bumping balls while close to the net can surprise your opponents, but its generally worse than spiking it.

Set

Set (Q/LT/L2) works in a similar way as bumping, though the ball won't go as far and will instead fly high up into the air. If you use it too close to the net while aiming at the opponent's side of the field, the ball might fly over and give your opponent an easy shot. So, it's best to aim sideways or backward while using a set.

Dive

The dive (Ctrl/X/▢) is arguably the hardest move to nail in Haikyuu Legends. First, you need to aim at the point where the ball will land, and second, you'll need to execute it very quickly against fastballs. Because you need to aim with ShiftLock enabled, catching balls that are going to your side or behind can be difficult. So, it's often best to constantly stay further back and dive only towards the front.

Haikyuu Legends Styles and How to Reroll Them

Styles in Haikyuu Legends determine your stats for each of the moves you perform in-game. They are spread into four rarities (Common, Rare, Legendary, and Godly), and the rarer they are, the better. To reroll your Style, click on Styles at the bottom of the screen and then Spin.

Each spin costs 100 Yen (in-game currency), and you can get more by using codes or by spending Robux. There are also Lucky Spins, which remove the chance of Common styles appearing, and those can be acquired only via codes or the Robux shop.

What are Skins & Packs in Haikyuu Legends?

Skins in Haikyuu Legends replace the ball's default cosmetic for you. You can get them by opening different packs close to the in-game Shop NPC. To see your currently owned skins, click on Inventory at the bottom of your screen.

How to Make Money in Haikyuu Legends

The best way to make money in Haikyuu Legends is to just play matches. The more actions (spike, block, dive, etc.) you perform during a match, the more money you will get. You can also get some money by redeeming codes, liking the game, and joining the Discord server (interact with the in-game holograms to redeem the rewards).

How to Redeem Codes in Haikyuu Legends?

To redeem codes in Haikyuu Legends, press the Shop button at the bottom of your screen, then click on Codes on the left to switch to the codes tab, and finally input/paste your code into the input field and press "USE CODE" to claim it. Check our Haikyuu Legends codes guide for the full list of working codes.

What are Pro Servers in Haikyuu Legends?

Playing in Pro Servers allows you to play competitive matches and get ranked on the leaderboards. You will unlock Pro Servers once you reach Level 15. You can see your current level all the way on the left, right below the money counter.
