Rune Slayer Goblin King Location & Farming Guide – Cheese Solution

The Goblin King in Rune Slayer is the latest boss that has been added in Update 2. Found in the new Withered Thicket area, this boss can drop some lucrative rewards. So, to help you find and farm this boss with ease, here's a complete guide to beating the Goblin King along with a cheese strategy.

Where to Find Goblin King in Rune Slayer (Location)

The Goblin King is located near the center of the Withered Thicket area. In order to reach the Withered Thicket, you need to travel into the Greatwood Forest, and talk to Kliff on the tree village. He'll provide you with the quest to slay the Goblin King and the direction for the Withered Thicket.

Once in the area, follow the lamps that appear when you start moving southwest, and follow them till you reach the big tree in the center. There you'll find a bridge where you need to drop down twice and you'll be at the entrance of the Goblin King's Arena. Do note that dropping will drain around 300 HP, so make sure you have sufficient Health Points before attempting.

Rune Slayer Goblin King Farming Guide

Once you enter the Goblin King's Area, you'll see that the Goblin King Boss is sitting near the throne, and approaching it will make the boss's health bar appear and start the fight. This is one of the strongest bosses currently in the game, and it is recommended to be at level 30 and above before you try fighting it.

The Goblin King is a generally predictable attack pattern of mostly melee attacks and some AoE skills that are relatively easy to dodge, especially if you're in a team. Moreover, the boss also becomes stunned after losing too much health during fights. It does regenerate HP once below 50% HP, and becomes enraged.

Do note that while the Paladin's Ring is a reward from this boss, it only drops if you've accepted the Quest from Kliff in the Tree Village.

How to Cheese Goblin King

Now that you know everything about the Goblin King, here's a cheese strategy to help you glitch the Goblin King in Rune Slayer and farm it with ease, without even taking damage. You can attempt this at any level, as long as you dodge a few attacks. Follow these steps:

1. Initiate the boss fight, and aggro the Goblin King towards you.
2. Keep moving backward, and take the boss outside the Goblin King Arena.
3. Once outside, turn back and run inside the arena and hide behind the wooden door.
4. If you make sure the boss is entering through the wooden door, then it'll get stuck in the frame.
5. Once stuck, you can attack it without fear, regardless of range or melee.

This strategy can be used in both Solo and Team settings, as long as you make sure that the Goblin King enters through the door frame rather than the gap.
