If you are always looking for more ways to play the Like a Dragon series, then you'll be in for a pleasant surprise. The ever popular game franchise is going to have an official Roblox experience. Yes, you heard that right!
GeekOut, a Japanese company committed to developing and supporting Roblox creators, has officially partnered with RGG (the studio behind the game series) to create an officially licensed Like a Dragon Roblox virtual experience. They have previously created experiences for Doraemon and One Piece, some of the most iconic IPs in anime, but they didn't really retain fans. Both experiences now have a minimal player count, which can be cause for concern about the future of the Like a Dragon Roblox experience. Will it be a hit, or will it be forgotten?
The goal of GeekOut with this experience is to create a fresh and engaging portrayal of the beloved game franchise. This gives me hope that it will be something us fans will enjoy. Not everyone is happy with the news, however.
Many are asking for a Fortnite collab instead, stating that RGG is doing everything but collaborating with the infamous sandbox platform. Others are complaining that the game will have to be toned down in order to exist on Roblox.
It is important to note, that while many players on Roblox are kids, there are plenty of horror and more ty experiences on Roblox that are available to all players. Here's to hoping they don't water down the core of the games to appeal to everyone. If that's the case, many will just stick to the OGs.
One of the funniest replies to the tweet is a video showing a battle between Kiryuu modded as a Roblox character and a normal Joon-gi Han. Another reply just said: ''We got Blockuza before GTA 6''. That one really hit hard. Maybe we will get GTA 6 in Roblox before we get actual GTA 6, I wouldn't be surprised.
We've only got a brief glimpse into what the game will look like with an image that does capture the general aesthetic of the game, but let's wait until we see more before passing judgement.
