If you're looking to change up the kind of fruits you have growing on your island, then you're going to want to know how to get coconut trees in Animal Crossing: New Horizons! Fruit is a great thing to be able to sell, so planting some additional trees on the beach will help start gaining you some more bells to spend!
How to Get Coconut Trees
You will first need to obtain 2,000 Nook Miles (unless you haven't flown yet, if that's the case then your first flight is free)! You can earn these by completing various tasks in your Nook Miles app on your smartphone. Once you have those, you can head over to Tom Nook's place and go to the Nook Stop (ATM). You can spend your miles here, and you will need to purchase yourself a Nook Miles Ticket. Before you go anywhere, make sure you've got some inventory space, some fruit, and a shovel. You don't necessarily need all of these things, but they are worth having to really get the most out of your Nook Miles Ticket!
Head on over to Dodo Airlines, and give Orville your ticket! You will then fly your way to another more tropical island. Run around the beach of this new area and find yourself a coconut tree (palm tree). If you're lucky, you should find one with a couple of coconuts growing on it! Shake the trees and get your coconuts from it. Once you've done that, you can then take an additional step. Eat a piece of fruit like an apple or a cherry, you can then use your shovel and dig up the whole coconut tree!
Once you've gotten all the coconuts and palm trees you'd like to take back to your island, head back to the airplane and travel back to your island. Go to your beach area and you can dig up a hole to plant a coconut in. After a few days, you will eventually have yourself a full sized tree! If you dug up the trees, however, you can just immediately plant those and they will be fully grown already. Wait a couple of more days and your trees will sprout you some delicious coconuts!
That's it folks! You should now know how to get coconuts trees in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
