As you are completing the main story mission ''Valley Reboot'' you will encounter an optional mission in Arknights Endfield asking you to rescue the trapped UWST crew mates. While the first NPC is clearly visible, the rest can be skipped, which is why we are here to help you find all UWST crew mates and get some great mission rewards as well as EXP (which is especially needed at the start).
Where to Find All Trapped UWST Crew Mates in Arknights Endfield
As you go outside to the deployment area during the Valley Reboot section, you will encounter an UWST Crew Mate yelling from a section to your right. This is your chance to start an optional mission called ''Rescue All Trapped UWST Crew Mates'' in Endfield. Instead of going to the deployment area, go around the hill and fight off the invading Landbreakers.
Once you've killed them all, go up and talk to the UWST Crew Mate. He will tell you that there are two more of his colleagues trapped in the area. Climb down from the platform and go down the left path towards the fire burning in the distance. This is where you will fight off another group of Landbreakers. Interact with the second NPC and then keep going.
The third trapped UWST Crew Mate (though I don't know how trapped he really is) can be found further down the path. Keep heading to the right and up until you see a platform with a set of stairs. Interact with him and this will complete the first Optional Mission of Arknights Endfield. There's also a blue chest right behind him, so make sure to grab it before continuing the main story Valley Reboot.

It's always smart to complete all missions (even optional ones), since you'll get more rewards and EXP from them.
If you've just started playing Endfield, then you won't have many Operators on your roster. Make sure to redeem all Arknights Endfield codes so that you can get as many pulls as possible right at the start. Perlica is very useful at the start and you get her for free, which makes her even better. A good and easy pull is Antal (who you might know from the OG Arknights), an excellent Support Healer and Buffer.
