Your armor in Avatar Frontiers of Pandora defines your overall survivability and tankiness while dealing with either wildlife or RDA enemies. In this guide, we'll cover the best armor you can acquire and craft in Avatar Frontiers of Pandora.
Top armor in Avatar Frontiers of Pandora
Best Head Guard Armor
Weaver Headband (Early-Mid Game)
Weaver Headband is the earliest head guard you can acquire while progressing through the main mission. You need to finish the main mission called "Pushing Back," where you fight an RDA base with Etuwa.
For the crafting materials, the easiest materials to acquire are the Brook Shell and Stairfoot Bark. The base Weaver Headband you get from the main quest is already decent; however, you can squeeze more HP and buffs by crafting your own.
Guerilla Headband (Early-Mid Game)
Guerilla Headband is a randomly acquired item in Frontiers of Pandora. You can loot this from raiding RDA bases. I recommend silently taking out RDA members for more rewards after taking down the base.
Although the buffs are nothing fancy, it's still decent "stat-padding" equipment to increase your overall character strength. The Guerilla Headband usually comes with an increased percentage of damage against RDA enemies.
Best Chest Armor
Rajinder's Defense Vest (Early Game)
The Rajinder's Defense Vest is one of the earliest armors you can craft in Pandora. You can get its crafting recipe in the Resistance HQ (Rajinder). At face value, it seems like an early-game-only option; however, once you learn how to gather rarer materials, it can scale with multiple buffs depending on the crafting material you choose.
To get decent stats out of this recipe, I recommend grabbing an exquisite moss within the rocky area of Dyer's bowl and harvesting a tooth from a mature Viperwolf as crafting material.
Neytu's Shawl (Early-Mid Game)
You can acquire the design for Neytu's Shawl through the side quest called "Teachable Moment." It's one of the most laidback quests in Frontiers of Pandora, and I highly recommend you complete the quest because of its decent story.
Neytu's Shawl requires a Superior Moss and a Superior Tooth. I recommend using the Bruise Moss coupled with a Cloaked Panther Tooth to craft the armor with decent stats.
Best Armguard
Vu'an's Sleeve (Early-Mid Game)
For the best Armguard, I went with the Vu'an's Sleeve due to its bonus passive of 15% Bonus Health, which is essential for padding your character level and ensuring survivability.
You can acquire the recipe for the Armguard through a side quest called "Gatherer Gone." I recommend crafting the armguard using an exquisite Hammerhead Hide and an exquisite Stairfoot Bark to get additional Health out of the armguard.
Gatherer's Armguard (Early-Mid Game)
Gatherer's Armguard is extremely useful, especially when you're hunting wildlife. It has decent stats while providing a strong passive called "Payback," which increases your damage by 20% after breaking an enemy's line of sight.
You can get the recipe of the Gatherer's Armguard by completing the Aranahe Contributions - Part 1 side quest. I recommend using similar crafting materials as for Vu'an's Sleeve.

Best Waistcloth
Rajinder's Shorts (Early-Mid Game)
Rajinder's Shorts gives a decent 5% ranged resistance, which comes in handy during firefights against a ton of RDA units. Similar to the chest armor above, you can get the recipe from Rajinder at the Resistance HQ.
I recommend you get a superior or exquisite Lionberry as a fiber and a similar quality Viperwolf tooth to squeeze as much HP as you can out of the recipe.
