Top weapons in Avatar Frontiers of Pandora

These are my picks for the top early-game weapons in Avatar Frontiers of Pandora. We will update this guide as soon as we push through the mid to late game.

Longbow

So'lek's Lightning Longbow is one of the best starting bows you can craft. It has a decent damage range and can easily scale up depending on the rarity of materials used in crafting. You can get this weapon by talking to Kitara, who's sitting/standing next to the crafting table and contributions bag in the Hometree.

In the photo above, the longbow I have has only 46 damage, which is subpar as you progress through the game, but it's still capable of dealing with level 9 enemies with ease. Using the storm arrow can also incapacitate and stun wildlife, allowing me to gather much rarer materials intended for my level.

Heavy Bow

Heavy Bows have a longer wind-up with a much more powerful punch than your standard longbow. I highly recommend the So'lek's Lightning Heavy Bow (recipe can be acquired from So'lek) over the Poison Heavy Bow due to its alternative ammo, Storm Arrow. The storm arrow stuns AMPs, allowing you to use the Eject Ancestor Skill, instantly taking them out of the fight.

You can get the Heavy Bow recipes during the main quest Eywa's Blessing.

Shotgun

The RDA-SCII is a special weapon you'll uncover during the Unsung Hero Side Quest. It boasts a whopping 110 damage, which is amazing for an early-game weapon. It can easily take down up to level 6 AMPs and even a chopper during aerial combat in two quick shots.

Assault Rifle

The AG-7201 Precision is a fantastic choice if you have a level 6 character strength. You can get this weapon through the main story mission, where you take down your first RDA Base. Its alternative ammo is the stagger ammo, which is decent in taking out fast-moving AMPs.

The AG-7201 Precision is in one of the locked containers beside the drilling site lever.
