From what we've seen so far, Avowed looks like an epic new adventure from Obsidian. As a big fan of their work, I'm looking forward to it. Here are all the details about the game and its release date!
What is the Release date for Avowed?
Although Obsidian has yet to give us an exact release date, it did announce a more approximate date for us at the 2024 Xbox Developer Direct. We can expect Avowed to release in Fall 2024. We should get an exact day soon, so stay tuned for updates.
What platforms is Avowed releasing on?
Avowed will release solely on the PC and Xbox Series platforms. It is rare that Microsoft releases any titles outside their own platforms and anywhere that Game Pass exists, so I'd be shocked if that changed for Avowed.
What is Avowed's gameplay like?
Based on the gameplay shown, Avowed is a first-person RPG akin to Bethesda's Skyrim. While typical fantasy tropes like magic and swordplay were shown, we also caught a glimpse of a character with dual-wielding firearms. Players will be able to wield a variety of weapons, from guns to swords to magic wands. You'll explore plenty of unique areas with secrets to uncover, like every good RPG.
