Field upgrades are a core part of Call of Duty; they provide additional boosts to your operator. Here's a list of all the field upgrades and how you can unlock them in MW3 Zombies.
How to unlock all Zombie Field upgrades in MWZ
Zombie field upgrades are completely different in function from those available to your Multiplayer operators. In MWZ, there are a total of six field upgrades, and players will have access to one of them from the beginning. As for the other five upgrades, you need to unlock them by progressing through the Military Player Ranks.
Energy Mine
Energy Mine is the only field upgrade that will remain unlocked at the start. It has got medium recharge and spawns an explosive device that is capable of causing massive damage to enemies who use it.
Frenzied Guard
This has got a slow recharge rate, but once activated, it will direct all the enemies to your party for 10 seconds. For each enemy kill, your armor will be regenerated. To unlock Frenzied Guard, players need to be at Level 9.

Healing Aura
Although it has a slow recharge rate, Healing Aura is the most useful field upgrade while dealing with zombies. It heals all players immediately, even the ones in Last Stand, where they absorb too much damage. To unlock Healing Aura, players need to reach Level 19.
Frost Blast
It has a medium recharge rate but is extremely effective while dealing with multiple enemies. It causes damage with an initial blast and then slows down enemies who are close to the AoE. Players need to be at Level 29 to unlock Frost Blast in-game.
Aether Shroud
Aether Shroud is perhaps another useful field upgrade that has been added in-game, which makes you completely invisible to zombies. It has a medium recharge rate, but while it's active, you can remain invisible for a short time. To unlock this upgrade, players need to reach Level 39.
Tesla Storm
This field upgrade creates lightning for you and connects it with your party for 10 seconds. During this time, you can deal damage to other enemies. Tesla Storm has a slow recharge rate and to unlock it, players need to be at Level 50.
