In the Season 5 reloaded patch notes for Modern Warfare 3, there's a little hidden tidbit you might've missed if you were skimming over the notes for the new modes and weapons: playing the Black Ops 6 beta will earn you progress on the Modern Warfare 3 battle pass.
This is great news for everyone who doesn't want to miss out on any potential rewards from the Modern Warfare 3 battle pass, the timer for which will still be ticking away whilst you get used to all the new omni-movement goodness in Black Ops 6.
What's in the Black Ops 6 beta?
We still don't know exactly what modes, maps and weapons will be available in the Black Ops 6 beta. You can expect the usual of course, a limited showing of core modes and maps, with a limited selection of weapons.
When does Black Ops 6 early access start?
The early access beta window (which you gain access to by pre-ordering any edition of Black Ops 6), starting on August 30th and ending September 4th, will likely have a little less content than the open beta, which launches on September 6th and ends on September 9th.
What's in MW3 Season 5 Reloaded?
You've still got plenty of reason to check out Modern Warfare 3 before the Black Ops 6 beta though, with two new weapons, a heap of new modes, a new map, and a bunch of Warzone changes and additions having dropped with the Season 5 Reloaded update. Plus, if you play at any point before August 31st, you'll even get a heap of free goodies, with 10 double XP tokens, 10 double weapon XP tokens, and even ten free battle pass tier skips. If you're still chasing one of the weapons, or trying to work towards the new sector to unlock the spear, those'll come in mighty handy.
