Black Ops 6 weapon leaks include SA87 (SA80) and LW3 Tundra (L96A1)

Black Ops 6 is picking up steam with Treyarch's constant releases of teasers, hints, and videos, but certain information isn't as official. The Black Ops 6 leaks have been circling and detail numerous weapons including the SA87 (SA80 for all the Brits out there) and the LW3 Tundra (L96A1 for my Black Ops 1 peeps).

User FIreBoyi compiled the weapon leaks on Reddit after files were found in CoD HQ, detailing the weapon and their real-world counterpart's name, alongside a corresponding image. Some weapons shown are a little more on the nose than others. For example, the M16 is also commonly known as the M16A2 while the LW3 Tundra is more of a mouthful than the L96A1. But keep in mind: these leaks have not been confirmed so take everything we have here with a grain of salt.

The weapons that draw my eye the most are the heavy dependence on the Kastovia weapon platform which tends to lean towards the Iraq war, Saddam Hussein's reign, and even into Operation Desert Storm; the AK (Kastovia) is the most prominent weapon in that side of the world, after all. We also find the M4 and M16 (as expected for a Call of Duty in relatively modern times), and a reliance on Tempus Armaments which hints to America's lead during the Gulf War in 2003.

Our second group of weaponry consists of the LW3 Tundra (L96A1), which is my favorite sniper from any CoD game. I remember utilizing this beast to take heads off of shoulders in Black Ops 1 was a delight and I sincerely hope Treyarch commits to bringing back this monster. The SA87 is the trusted assault rifle used by the British Armed Forces and, if the information is true, will debut in Call of Duty for the first time. Black Ops 1 players will also recognize the Olympia, but an exciting thing to note is that a vast majority of weapons here are brand new to the franchise.

Since the weaponry is divided into weapon platforms, it's hard to say how many SMGs, Snipers, and Assault Rifles are on this list. However, it is interesting to note that Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War featured 42 main-hand weapons (not including launchers, knives, and pistols), while this leaked weapon list has 41 main-hand weapons. So there is a real potential that the weapons we see are what we get in BO6.

If my little investigation is accurate, I wouldn't be disappointed as we're getting plenty of new weapons to play with, some of which have never featured in a Call of Duty before. Since CoD players have been feeling the lack of love and attention recently, a large reset and tone shift from the devs may be the best thing for the future of the franchise.

That's it for the Black Ops 6 weapon leaks. If you're looking for similar Call of Duty content then check out CoD fans prove the horrible issue with the RGL-80 in Hardcore, Ashika Island is being cut from Warzone and fans think there was a better solution, and more on Pro Game Guides.
