Modern Warfare 2 Crashing on PC

One of the more common issues that results in the Modern Warfare 2 Beta crashing on PC is that it will crash whenever it needs to reboot. Reboots are frequently required as the beta is constantly being hotfixed and updated with new modes. For console players, this simply brings up a message that a restart is required. On PC, however? Crash City. If this is happening to you, simply exit Modern Warfare 2 entirely, check for updates, and launch again. It's not ideal, but unfortunately, it is what it is right now. Here's hoping they get it fixed sooner rather than later.

Other common issues are the usual offenders. Make sure your graphics drivers are up to date and that, if possible, you're playing on a wired connection. And of course, remember that this is a beta weekend with a lot of players hammering Activision's servers. It won't always be the best connection and disconnects will happen. A little bit of patience will go a long way.
