How to get kills with frost damage in MW3 Zombies

Modern Warfare 3 Zombie has different types of ammo mods you can use on your weapons to impart special effects to your bullets. These items also come in handy during camo challenges, such as ones that ask you to get kills with frost damage.

How to get frost damage kills in Modern Warfare 3 Zombies

MWZ camo unlocks for guns including the AMR9 SMG, BAS-B Battle Rifle, and KATT-AMR Sniper Rifle require you to get 250 kills with frost damage with the weapon. To complete this challenge, you need to equip the Cryo Freeze Ammo Mod on the weapon and then get kills with it. It doesn't matter if you freeze all the zombies or not—just eliminate 250 of them using this mod and you'll be good.

Where to find Cryo Freeze Ammo Mod in MWZ (Map)

You can find Cryo Freeze Ammo Mod or any other mod inside Aether Caches around the MW3 Zombies map. These loot boxes make a distinct sound and can be found everywhere, but Infested Strongholds and Aether Nests should be your go-to place to find these (see map).

I prefer Infested Strongholds as they have several of these containers, but they also require more effort to secure. Enter the building, preferably with a Gas Mask, and destroy all the yellow cysts to clear it. Remember, Infested Strongholds are different than Mercenary Strongholds and only have zombies.

When using the Cryo Freeze Ammo Mod on your gun, your bullets will have a probability of freezing the enemy for a while as you can see in the image above. You can use this effect to your advantage to slow down zombies, especially special and elite ones, and take them down while they're stuck. Just so you know, I also tried using the Frost Blast field upgrade for this challenge but it didn't work for me.
