How to spot Special or Elite Zombies in MW3 Zombies mode

To spot Special or Elite zombies in MW3 Zombies mode, look out for any zombies that stand out from the three following categories:

• Mangler
• Mimic
• Disciple

Special zombies will look more threatening than their regular counterparts, and Elite zombies are easily distinguished from the Elites because they will have a name above their heads.

Where to find Special or Elite Zombies in MW3

You can find Special or Elite zombies in MW3 in higher-tiered zones, as they rarely spawn in low-threat areas. If you're hunting for these types of zombies, you can easily find them if you activate the following missions:

• Elite zombies: Bounty Contracts are a surefire way to cross paths with an Elite zombie.
• Special zombies: Try obtaining Escort or Spore contracts, as you will encounter multiple Special zombies in those missions, even the lower-tiered ones. I found that Escort missions are a perfect way to score at least half a dozen Manglers in quick succession.
