How to unlock all vests in MW3

Pick the vest that suits you the best!

In Call of Duty MW3, the classic perk system has been reworked into different types of equipment, including vests that provide unique boosts to the player. Here's a list of all the new vests and how to unlock them in MW3.

All new vests in MW3

In MW3, players need to be selective about which vest they choose to equip. Although there are six vests, each of them will allow you to carry a specific number of tactical, lethal, field upgrades, gloves, boots, and gear. You need to keep in mind that some of these vests increase the slots of the items you can carry while others decrease it.

The six vests are Infantry, Demolition, Overkill, CCT Comms, Gunner, and Engineer. To unlock these vests in MW3, you need to progress in Multiplayer. I recommend using double XP tokens to get a boost while playing Multiplayer in MW3.

Out of the six vests, the Infantry Vest is the only one that remains unlocked early on for players to equip. Use this vest with the Running Sneakers, and your operator will acquire the effects of Lightweight Boots. While equipped, this vest increases Tac-Sprint duration and lowers the refresh time. With the Infantry Vest, you'll get to use both weapons, tactical and lethal equipment, along with a field upgrade of your choice.

The Engineer Vest can spot enemy equipment, field upgrades, and killstreaks through walls much like the Spotter Perk used to back in MW2. It comes with a fast field upgrade recharge, and you can aim down sights to highlight enemy equipment for your team to see. To unlock the Engineer Vest in MW3, you need to reach Level 10.

Upon equipping it, the Overkill Vest increases the weapon swap speed which allows your operator to quickly change weapons in matches. It also gives you the ability to reload while sprinting. Players equipping this vest with Quick-Grip Gloves/Commando Gloves will acquire the effects of Marksman Gloves. To unlock the Overkill Vest in MW3, you need to reach Level 50.

The CCT Comms Vest is useful to not just your operator but the entire team. It increases the duration during which the enemies remain on the radar. Additionally, it zooms out the radar for you and your allies during matches. Every enemy that you kill will drop an intel pack that creates a radar ping for your team. To unlock the CCT Comms Vest in MW3, you need to reach Level 40.

The Demolition Vest resupplies Lethal and Tactical equipment every 25 seconds. To unlock the Demolition vest in MW3, you need to reach Level 30. This vest is a rework of the Resupply Perk from previous Call of Duty titles and is decent for players who enjoy Throwing Knives and Semtex eliminations.

How to unlock the Gunner vest in MW3

The Gunner vest comes with two primary weapons, improved reload speed, and will deploy with maximum ammo. To unlock the Gunner vest in MW3, you need to be at Level 20. This vest is the reworked version of the Overkill Perk from Modern Warfare 2. If you prefer carrying two Assault Rifles, or other primary weapons, then the Gunner Vest is the best one to choose.
