In Call of Duty MW3, you can use different tactical equipment to outsmart opponents, and the Scatter Mine is one of them. I've been using this item to catch enemies off guard, especially on smaller maps, and here's how you can do the same in the Multiplayer mode.
What are Scatter Mines for in MW3?
Scatter Mines are a new type of tactical equipment that can be thrown on the ground to alert you when enemy operators are in its radius. Similar to most of the tactical equipment, you can use Scatter Mines strategically to outthink opponents in any situation and get a few easy eliminations. I found this item exceptionally useful not only in MW3 Multiplayer but also in Zombies mode where you have to fight a horde of enemies at once.
How to unlock Scatter Mine in MW3
To unlock the Scatter Mine tactical equipment, simply grind the Multiplayer mode and reach level 18 on your account. Once unlocked, visit the loadout tab and equip Scatter Mine as the tactical. In MW3 Zombies, you'll find Scatter Mines as ground loot, from caches, and as rewards for completing different contracts. Players who prefer an aggressive playstyle can make use of this equipment by rushing to the opponent's spawn. Use Assault Rifles like SVR 545 or SMGs like AMR9 to quickly take down opponents at their spawn. Eliminate the enemies quickly, and place the Scatter Mine close to their spawn exit.

How to get 3 Operators Hits with Scatter Mine in MW3
One of the Daily Challenges in MW3 Multiplayer requires you to get 3 operator hits with Scatter Mines. The easiest way to do this is to place the Scatter Mine on a path that the opponents will follow while coming out from their spawn. You can also throw down the Scatter Mine in intersectional areas of the map where two teams square off. Likewise, if you prefer holding down a room, place the Scatter Mine at an off-angle inside the room where the enemy has to come. Domination and Hardpoint are two of the best game modes you can try to complete this Daily Challenge quickly and earn 2,500 XP.
