Is Blizzard Battle.net Down? How to Check Server Status

Possible fixes.

Blizzard Battle.net is one of the biggest online video game storefronts and game client applications for PC. Although the most recent Call of Duty game, Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, is available on Steam, most players have this and other Activision games in their Battle.net library. That said, Battle.net isn't the most stable platform, as it faces connectivity issues and slow download speeds, especially when a major game update drops.

Is Blizzard Battle.net Down?

To check if the Battle.net servers are down, you first need to visit the official Twitter handle of the game client. If the application is facing any issues from the developer's end, you'll most likely find a recent post mentioning the problem. For instance, the following tweet was retweeted by Battle.net regarding server issues in the American region when the major Season 2 update for Warzone 2 dropped.

If there's no acknowledgment from the Battle.net team, players can also check the server status for the app on Downdetector. This is a community-driven website where anyone can report connection problems faced on various platforms, including Battle.net. If you see a spike in reports during recent hours, the problem is probably from the developer's end.
