The new MW3/Warzone update added a game-breaking bug and players are infuriated

The game needs a patch ASAP!

While the Season 4 Reloaded update introduced new weapons, game modes, and an Easter Egg to MW3 and Warzone, it also managed to add a bug that prevents players from playing the game. Naturally, they're angry because this happens quite often with Call of Duty despite being an AAA franchise.

After the new update, several players have reported that their game freezes mid-fight which makes it unplayable. This bug is happening to PC, Xbox, and PlayStation players in Warzone and Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer. The clip by Reddit user Veggietuh perfectly captures the problem, which I've been experiencing myself.

The developers at Sledgehammer Games and Raven Software are currently working on the issue, which you can track on the Trello board for Warzone and MW3. While this is good news for the players hoping to enjoy the new content drop, it's discouraging unfinished updates has become the norm in Call of Duty. This isn't much to ask, but there should be proper testing before an update is released, and it should be postponed if it isn't polished and causing such game-breaking bugs.

Above you can see another clip of MW3 multiplayer's new Mutation game mode which looks much worse. The whole game froze for user tusharlucky29 on the loading screen and they had to relaunch MW3 to resolve it. The developers were quick at bringing fixes to the inactive store that prevented players from purchasing cosmetics; hopefully, they treat the game freezing bug as a priority and release a fix soon. Until then, you'll just have to wait and if possible, submit a crash report if the game abruptly stops working.
