The application name for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone was altered to "iw8 ship". This is a bug seen mostly on Xbox consoles and will likely be fixed soon. Some players resolved this issue by simply restarting their devices.

A Reddit user, u/Huntmanbravo, stated, "The iw8 ship is a bug. It means that it is the ship build of IW's 8th title." It is evident that the developers' attention on Modern Warfare has receded with time. While the annual Call of Duty launches aim to keep the content fresh for the franchise's fans, older games suffer due to a lack of content and support.
