Iron Trials '84 is a new game mode introduced in Warzone with Season 5. This mode has received a good response from players, as it hints toward a ranked mode sometime in the future for the popular Battle Royale game. This guide features what you need to know to get started with Iron Trials in Warzone.
Iron Trials' most prominent feature is the increase to the players' base health, which in turn reduces the time-to-kill (TTK). Thus, the game mode is more competitive, as it promotes skilled play and gives players a chance to retaliate when getting shot. This feat isn't easily achievable in the usual Warzone modes because the TTK is too fast.
Here are the major changes that players can expect from Iron Trials in Warzone:
- Base health increased from 100 to 250
- Less fall damage
- Players spawn with a Magnum Pistol and a Sledgehammer Melee
- Loot is made better with powerful and kitted weapon spawns
- Round timers decreased by 12 percent
- Circle collapses 12 percent faster
- If Gulag is won, player will redeploy with the same weapon as used in the Gulag
- No Dead Silence and Stopping Power Field Upgrades
- Fewer vehicles as trucks. Helicopters and SUVs have been removed
- Buy Station equipment costs increased significantly. For instance, loadout drops now cost $15,000 instead of the usual $10,000
- Cash is scarce
- No free loadout drops. In normal Warzone BR modes, teams get two scheduled drops for free throughout the match
- Specialist Bonus, Classified weapons, and Foresight are available but rare
- Sniper Rifle headshot downs work only within 30 meters
