One of the most patient fanbases in video game history has been the NCAA Football fanbase. It's been a whole 11 years since their last game. Fortunately, their prayers were answered with a new trailer for College Football 25, a game that looks to drop this summer.
The announcer in the trailer says it best when he says "yeah, we've seen the posts, the predictions, the doubts. We get it, it's been a minute." College Football 25 will be the first football game featuring NCAA teams in over a decade.
The trailer takes place in the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, home to one of the biggest annual College Football games in the country. Plenty of clips thrown in the trailer appeal to College Football history, showing the rivalry between Ohio State and Michigan as well as players slamming the 'Play Like A Champion' sign in Notre Dame's locker room.

As for why it took so long to create, NCAA games were put on hiatus after a court casing regarding payment for the likeness of some players in the game. The issue of paying football players who are still in college has been a controversy for quite a long time.
College Football 25 is slated to release in the summer of 2024. While a more specific release date hasn't been revealed, there will be an in-depth trailer shown in May of this year. The trailer should go over game modes as well as any new mechanics the game might have.
