Flux is back—and once again, he’s stranded on a strange alien planet. Just like before, survival means gathering resources, crafting materials, and building up a base. But one quest throws a curveball: you need to collect Phantades, and the game doesn’t exactly tell you where to find them. That is why in this guide, we’ll break down exactly how to track down and capture Phantades in Crashlands 2.

How to Find Phantades in Crashlands 2

You get the task of finding and collecting Phantades as a part of the Phanta Eggnigma. However, the quest objective does not mention how to find and catch them in Crashlands 2. It only tells you to go to the Spawning Forest and collect Phantades.

If you have not explored the Crashlands 2 map enough, then you may not see the Spawning Forest. So, to reach it, go south from the Spark Flats teleporter, and you will reach the Sunfunnel Summit teleporter. Next, go east from here and you will arrive at the Spawning Forest area.

This is a small area, and when you try to run through it in search of Phantades, you are likely to not find them. So, where are the Phantades in Crashlands 2?

How to Catch Phantades in Crashlands 2

You won’t find Phantades wandering freely in the Spawning Forest—instead, you’ll encounter Phanta and wild Phaddy aliens. But be careful: when you attack either of these creatures, they’ll open their mouths and launch Phantades at you like mortar shots.

Once fired, these Phantades will chase Flux and explode if they get too close. So, you need to collect them before they explode.

To collect Phantades, follow these steps:

1. Open the pause menu.
2. Navigate to Equipment.
3. Assign the Phantade Jug to a hotkey for quick access.
4. Press the attack button near the Phantades to collect them.

Now you’re ready to scoop up those explosive critters and complete the quest objective in Crashlands 2.
