Destiny 2: Stoking The Flame Quest Bug – How To Fix

What's old is new again.

Players returning to enjoy Destiny 2's latest expansion, The Witch Queen, may encounter a "fun" new bug. And no, it's likely not the doing of Telesto this time around. While progressing through the main campaign of The Witch Queen, players have reported a bug involving two quests, "Stoking the Flame" and "Riding the Storm."

Essentially, players are receiving notifications that the quests haven't been completed and must be beaten. The bug doesn't appear to impact progression of any kind and Bungie is aware. In a Twitter post made on February 25, 2022, Bungie Help stated that the quests "may be incorrectly granted to veteran players as a result of a previous fix, and cannot be discarded. Players can complete the quests to remove it from their inventory."

So, for those unfortunate enough to receive these benign errors, Bungie is still working on a fix. Guardians can either wait for the fix or complete the missions again to clear the message. As it goes to show, no good deed goes unpunished, as this bug is the result of squishing another bug. Fortunately, it is rather innocuous and not game-breaking this time around.
