Destiny 2’s The Final Shape server offline messages are mysterious and cryptic

Destiny 2 servers are offline as The Final Shape is being pushed to the public. While we wait to stand against the Witness, some players are receiving mysterious and cryptic messages as they try to log in to the game's servers.

As the wait for The Final Shape begins to close on the last hour we are frothing at the mouth to jump in and take the fight to the Witness. However, as I logged in I received a cryptic message from the Witness: We seek an end to suffering. Why do you resist? The spooky words and the breaking of the fourth wall have sent my hype to an astronomical level.

Sadly, there doesn't appear to be any other messages from the Witness to creep us out. One single line of text is normal for such a mighty being; it lets us all know that our struggle is meaningless. As I read the quote I ponder on the fate of all Guardians, something about The Final Shape screams finality (other than The Final Shape)—whatever Bungie has cooking in the narrative, I am sure it will be a banger.

There is one other message players are seeing across the world but this one is pretty standard and may give you a little cackle. If you're like me and have seen enough of this message then you can scroll onwards...
