How to complete the Shoot to Score quest in Destiny 2

The Guardian Games have returned and brought a handful of quests with. One of these quests is particularly troublesome for Guardians as it doesn't seem to be progressing for anyone.

To complete the Shoot the Score quest, Guardians will need to follow the steps which are locked between event phases. As such, there will be times when it isn't possible to progress until the next phase begins. For example, the first step is a practice round where Guardians must play the Training playlist (Tuesdays through Thursdays). This will help them prepare for the Competitive playlist which opens on Fridays through Mondays.

So for those wondering why the quest isn't progressing at the beginning of Guardian Games, it's not a bug. This was explained in the TWAB covering Guardian Games but never in the game. As such, it's understandable that Guardians who don't read the TWAB would be in the dark. Bungie has a history of making things vague, but the 2022 Guardian Games is especially convoluted.

Shoot to Score Quest Steps

1. Practice activities in the Guardian Games: Training playlist and reach score thresholds to earn buffs that last throughout the week.
2. Achieve a Bronze score for this week's activity in the Guardian Games: Competitive playlist. Once you reach the Bronze threshold, the Bronze scoring Torch in the Tower will unlock. Light the torch for rewards and glows!
3. Achieve a Silver score for this week's activity in the Guardian Games: Competitive playlist. When you reach the Silver threshold, the Silver Scoring Torch in the Tower will unlock. Light the torch for rewards and glows!
4. Achieve a Gold score for this week's activity in the Guardian Games: Competitive playlist. When you reach the Gold threshold, the Gold Scoring Torch in the Tower will unlock. Light the torch for rewards and glows!
5. Achieve a Platinum score for this week's activity in the Guardian Games: Competitive playlist. When you reach the Platinum threshold, the Platinum Scoring Torch in the Tower will unlock. Light the torch for rewards and glows!
6. Congratulations, Guardian! You've achieved a Platinum score for the week! Remember to light the Scoring Torches in the Tower for cool glows and rewards!
