Two of the most lauded weapons return to Destiny 2 as part of the long-awaited Into The Light DLC. Since getting my hands on them was somewhat tricky, check out this guide on how to get the Mountaintop and the Recluse as easily as possible!
Below you'll learn everything you need to know about acquiring the legendary Mountaintop and Recluse weapons in Destiny 2. We'll also discuss ways to go about completing the required tasks without much hassle, and the best weapons, gear and overall loadouts for the job.
Getting Mountaintop and Recluse in Destiny 2
To get both the Mountaintop and the Recluse, all you need to do is complete the Onslaught: Playlist Horde mode, consisting of 10 enemy waves with scaling difficulty. The best way to increase your odds of success here is to hop into a Fireteam with up to three players. More Guardians means more firepower against the ever-increasing enemies that you'll have to fend off.
Using the best loadout builds for Onslaught, you can go further than the 10th wave and complete weekly challenges to win Tier 1 Powerful Gear. To access Onslaught, you need to have completed the Feats of Bravery quest by traveling to the Hall of Champions within Into the Light and finding Shaxx.
To complete the Trophy of Bravery, you need to reach Power Level 1810 by completing missions and acquiring better gear to increase it. If you need a helping hand, the chest called The Gift of The Thunder Gods placed next to Shaxx will provide you with new gear.
Once you've reached the Power Level, go back to Shaxx and interact with him to complete the quest and gain 10 Trophies of Bravery. Using these trophies will let you open a BRAVE chest next to Shaxx. The Hall of Champions is filled with BRAVE chests, and you'll need 450 Trophies of Bravery in total to open them all.
What are Trophies of Bravery?
Trophies of Bravery are a currency type added as part of the Into The Light DLC. They can be used to open BRAVE chests in the Hall of Champions. You earn Trophies of Bravery by completing the Onslaught and The Whisper game modes in the Into The Light destination.
Alternative ways of getting Trophies of Bravery include completing bounties from Shaxx and Into The Light quests, as well as taking down Tormentors introduced in the Lightfall expansion.
