Diablo 4 is the newest installment in the staple RPG series created by Blizzard over two decades ago. Over the years, many things have changed, but Diablo's core principles remained the same, including some of the main classes like Barbarian. I haven't noticed many things change since Diablo 3 as far as the Barbarian class goes, but a few additions, like Berserking, have been made to make things more interesting. This guide will explain what Berserking is and how to use it!
What is Berserking in Diablo IV, and how to activate it
Berserking is a Status Ailment in Diablo 4, which is more commonly known as Status Effect in other traditional RPG games. It is a Status Ailment exclusive to the Barbarian class; no other class can access it. When a Barbarian has a Berserking Status Ailment, he gains the following boosts:
- Damage by 25%
- Movement speed by 30%

Needless to say, Berserking provides a beneficial boost upon being activated on your Barbarian, providing both speed and DPS boost for extra ads clearing power. The way to activate Berserking is by using one of the following skills that provide your Barb with it:
- Battle Fervor
- Combat Lunging Strike
- Enhanced War Cry
- Fighter's Steel Grasp
- Furious Double Swing
- Unconstrained
- Violent Upheaval
- Wrath of the Berserker
Berserking is one of the most powerful Status Ailments in Diablo 4 right now and is partially why the Barbarian class is in the top tier of all classes in the game. This may change come Season 1, so keep an eye out for any updates, as we will refresh this article with accurate info.
