Should you play on Tier 1 or Tier 2 in Diablo 4?

World Tiers decide your fate...

Playing Diablo 4 is a rather different experience depending on which World Tier you decide to play on. At the start, you'll have access to both World Tier 1 and World Tier 2. Both tiers have key differences you may want to consider before starting your journey. Here's whether you should play on World Tier 1 or World Tier 2 in Diablo 4.

Which World Tier should you play on in Diablo 4?

Believe it or not, this is a very simple question with an uncomplicated answer. However, that answer depends on what you are looking to get out of your initial run-through of Diablo 4's story. After all, once you're finished with it, you will want to switch to World Tier 3 to progress into the Endgame.

Before that, though, you need to understand what World Tier 1 and World Tier 2 have on offer. World Tier 1 is the easiest Tier to play on and offers minor challenges throughout the main story. You do not gain any extra experience or loot gains playing World Tier 1. However, in exchange, you'll breeze through the early content and reach Endgame fairly quickly

World Tier 2, on the other hand, is the harder of the two tiers. From a reward standpoint, you'll get a boost to gold drops and experience gained specifically from monsters. Enemies have more health and deal more damage, so this Tier will require a bit more effort on your part to get through.

With all that said, if your goal is to reach Diablo 4's extensive Endgame as fast as possible, I highly recommend playing the whole initial experience on World Tier 1. While World Tier 2 does offer slightly better rewards, the extra health and damage enemies deal makes the trek to Endgame less efficient. On the contrary, I highly recommend playing the whole initial experience on World Tier 2 if you are looking for a challenge. World Tier 1 is the easiest mode, and challenge seekers will be disappointed by what it has to offer.

Diablo 4 is an expansive game with many options and obtainable goodies to tailor the experience to your liking. Hopefully, this helps put things into perspective for you. You're welcome.
