You can see the various Biomes worldwide if you open your Map menu. The greyed areas are Biomes that haven't been unlocked yet. An evil void and Night Thorns block off each entrance and will restrict you from entering. By selecting the entrance, you can use your Dreamlight magic to unblock the way. However, to navigate these Biomes, you must first restore the Pillar of Friendship in the Meadow and save up enough Dreamlight to remove the evil Night Thorns. You will find the Pillar of Friendship and the entrapped Orb of Friendship in the Meadow, northwest of Goofy's Stall.

You must place the Orb of Friendship within the Pillar to restore the Pillar of Friendship. That means you must free it from the Night Thorns that are tangled around it. You should receive a Quest from Merlin called "Friendship is Everything," which suggests you must develop three Friendships up to level 5 to free the Orb. This can be done relatively quickly by giving characters gifts or completing Quests for them.

Once you have three level 5 Friendships, speak to Merlin and head back to the Pillar to find the Orb. The Orb of Friendship will be released onto the ground for you to grab. Then select the Pillar and Transfer the Orb over to it. This disperses all the evil magic out of the Pillar and restores the Well at the center of the Meadow. You should now be able to head to any of the various Biome entrances and use your Dreamlight to unlock them.

It costs around 1,000 Dreamlight to unlock each of the different entrances to the Biomes. You can find your Dreamlight total by opening your menu to the Dreamlight tab or checking any of the locked entrances. To earn more Dreamlight, complete any of the duties listed in the various categories shown on the Dreamlight menu. They can be any small task, from harvesting specific resources, giving a character a gift, or reaching a goal amount of fish caught. They don't take long to complete, and you can complete them as you work toward other Quests or activities.

Once you restore the Pillar of Friendship, you are free to unlock the various Biomes and explore the new areas of the map, each with its own new mysteries and wonders. Get to making new Friendships, and you will have the Pillar put back together in no time!
