Tiana’s Palace comes to Disney Dreamlight Valley in Update 12

Finally, features that I'll use.

Update 12 — the Dapper Delights Update — is coming to Disney Dreamlight Valley on August 21, 2024! In this update, players will be able to welcome Tiana to their Valley, who will arrive in a gorgeous 1920s-inspired dress that is unlike the ones we've already seen in the Princess and the Frog movies.

Tiana isn't the only new addition to the game; with her, we'll see a new building and several new additions to the clothing and furniture of the game.

Tiana's Palace is definitely the biggest item coming to Disney Dreamlight Valley in Update 12. It looks as though this will be a second restaurant that you can place anywhere in your Valley. The only downside is that the building looks huge, and most players' Plazas are already fully designed.

Personally, I'll be putting my Tiana's Palace in the Forest of Valor, although it would also make a lot of sense in the Glade of Trust.

The furniture shown outside of the restaurant is likely to be part of the new Star Path in the update, rather than part of the restaurant, itself. Similar to when we unlocked Remy's restaurant and were able to move the single table outside of it using Furniture Mode.

If you don't know where you want to put Tiana's Palace, you'll be happy to know that we're also getting a new food cart that Tiana runs. Unlike the other carts currently in your Valley, this cart sells finished meals — as opposed to the ingredients, seeds, or materials that you can get from Goofy, Kristoff, and Mulan.

Given that the developer update says that you'll need to "foster your relationship with Tiana" for the food stall, it's likely a Friendship Level 10 item. I can't imagine that an item as extravagant as this would be lower down in the Friendship Levels than that.

As well as new furniture, you'll be able to enjoy some new clothing choices through the Star Path which will activate on the same day as Update 12. As much as I wish the devs would hurry up and put more clothing in Scrooge's store, at least we have some stylish threads coming in the Star Path.

Of course, it wouldn't be a DDV update without new features. Here's a quick list of what you can expect to see on August 21:

  • Cross-platform play for PlayStation players.
  • Search feature for clothing and furniture.
  • Favorite or hide clothing items.
  • Outfit presets - save your favorite clothing combinations!

It looks like this is going to be an amazing update for quality of life improvements, and I can only hope that the other much-requested features are on the developers' list for later on.
