Where to find Gift Houses in Disney Dreamlight Valley (and what they are)

Sharing is caring.

For new Disney Dreamlight Valley players, gathering resources for questions can be a bit tedious (especially when you hit the Remembering Old Times quest for Minnie Mouse, which requires 200 clay). Thankfully, as the DDLV community has grown, some long-time players who have already beaten the main storyline are spending their time creating gift houses for others to enjoy.

How do I find a Gift House in Disney Dreamlight Valley?

To find valleys that have gift or resource houses, you'll need to be a somewhat active player in the Disney Dreamlight Valley community. This means joining a few Facebook groups and maybe a Discord or two.

The reason for this is that players who create gift or resource houses will advertise in these social channels to notify new players (or players just looking for resources/extra coins from selling meals) that they're ready to receive visitors.

You can also put out your own post asking for a gift/resource house to visit or for spare resources from other players to complete your active quests.

Facebook Groups with Gift Houses

Groups where players have posted gift/resource houses or you have permission to ask for resources you need.

Discord Groups with Gift Houses

Discord groups that have gift/resource houses or you can ask for the resources you need. There are no invite links because they expire so quickly, so it's best to join the relevant Facebook group and ask for a fresh link from the OP.

What is a Gift House in Disney Dreamlight Valley?

A gift house, also known as a resource house, is a player's in-game home filled with items for others to come and grab to help them advance in the game. There's a slight difference between the two, but both terms are used interchangeably in the DDLV community.

Resource houses usually only contain in-game consumable resources, used to build furniture, craft items, and complete quests. On the other hand, gift houses may also include high-value meals made from food that sells for top coin.

An example of a high-value meal you might find at a gift house is the Grilled Fish Entree made from four Here and There fish and one pumpkin. This is worth a staggering 9,463 gold coins per meal. Some players who create huge multi-floor gift houses may leave stacks of these around (50 meals per stack). And, well, you do the math.
