Unless it is our missing monster 307 (which we doubt), this area's large monsters should be the three gate guardians (Hacksaurus, Warhog, and Metal Dragon). They're recruitable! If you beat them on the way up, just Zoom away from the Cradle of Fortitude and come back. They'll respawn.
