Dungeons of Aether, the turn-based strategy spin-off of Rivals of Aether, has received a release date of October 25, 2022, through a new trailer by developer Dan Furnace. This trailer showed off gameplay of the dungeon-crawler, as well as a Steam launch. But this may leave you wondering if Dungeons of Aether is coming to consoles.
Currently, Dungeons of Aether is only confirmed for Steam, with no mention of a console release. So no, Dungeons of Aether is not coming to consoles—at least not at launch. However, the original Rivals of Aether launched on PC and came to consoles later, so this may happen with Dungeons of Aether.
Rather than the platform-fighting gameplay of Rivals of Aether, this spin-off features turn-based combat where you must rely on strategy and luck thanks to the dice draft system. It also features four new heroes not seen in the original game.
