The Star Wars x Fortnite collaboration has always been a hit within the community. Given how popular the collaboration was, it looks like Epic Games is planning on bringing back the lightsabers in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 yet again. Prominent Fortnite data miner ShiinaBR uncovered few strings related to character specific lightsabers in the files, so there's a chance we might be seeing these in Fortnite in the upcoming weeks.
Here are the four characters whose lightsabers could be seen in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2.
- Kylo Ren
- Luke Skywalker
- Mace Windu
- Rey

Considering that the current season goes all the way until June 3, there's a chance that these lightsabers might make it to the game during May 4, which is globally celebrated as Star Wars Day. However, Epic Games decided to troll the entire community by not introducing any Star Wars themed cosmetics during May 4 in 2021, so this information needs to be taken with a grain of salt.
Hopefully, we'll have our lightsabers in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2, but we're not counting on anything until we see something concrete. Whether these cosmetics make their way into the game is something that only time will tell.
