Here's what you can do:

  1. Run the launcher as an admin.
    • Right-click on the Genshin Impact launcher icon on your desktop.
    • Select Run as administrator.
    • Once the launcher has launched, click Update to see if the error has been resolved.
  2. Delete vcruntime140.dll.
    • Head to the path mentioned in the error prompt.
      • It should look something like C:/Program Files/Genshin Impact/updateProgram/updateData.
